Narrows Campground

We originally booked site 18 online, being from another state, we didn't want to get there and have an the First Come sites be booked. Site 18 says a small tent and they mean a small tent! Our tent was too big. Site 17 was available and had a much bigger tent area. We had just enough service to call the ranger station and ask to move sites and they were very kind and let us.

There are no bad sites in this campground! It's a beautiful campground! There IS lake access via trails if you are in good shape, otherwise you might get down them, but getting back up will be a struggle.

There are bear boxes at every site and picnic tables and a vault toilet within walking distance. The vault toilet was pretty clean for what it is and was well maintained.

The campsites are big and spacious, but you still do hear the other campers, but not bad. The boat ramp is a close to the campground and people had fishing boats, kayaks, canoes and paddleboards on the lake.

We made plans to come back to this campground again next year! We loved it!

Very nice and quite and secluded. Liked the forest setting and campground was well maintained.

Sad to say the campground has been suffering from deferred maintenance for a while. The fencing that keeps cows out of the campground is in horrible shape, and the cows wander the campground regularly in the last 3 years, crapping in the campsites and on the shoreline.

Beautiful view but not very close to lake.

The only issue is that the roads need grading

I would like to say that me and my family had an absolute wonderful time up there for our Fourth of July camping experience. Everything was beautiful. The only thing that I can say that really threw a wrench in things was there is a culvert before our turn to go up to our campground and it popped two of our tires. There is metal sticking out in the middle of the road and it is extremely dangerous

It was nice to see the sign showing our site was reserved with our name when we arrived. The site was clean and firewood available. The hiking trail was great, very well kept. Really liked the way the camp sites were tucked into the trees. Even though you are in a camp site it doesn't feel like you are crowded or on top of each other. Of course, the country and the views were awesome!
