We originally booked site 18 online, being from another state, we didn't want to get there and have an the First Come sites be booked. Site 18 says a small tent and they mean a small tent! Our tent was too big. Site 17 was available and had a much bigger tent area. We had just enough service to call the ranger station and ask to move sites and they were very kind and let us.
There are no bad sites in this campground! It's a beautiful campground! There IS lake access via trails if you are in good shape, otherwise you might get down them, but getting back up will be a struggle.
There are bear boxes at every site and picnic tables and a vault toilet within walking distance. The vault toilet was pretty clean for what it is and was well maintained.
The campsites are big and spacious, but you still do hear the other campers, but not bad. The boat ramp is a close to the campground and people had fishing boats, kayaks, canoes and paddleboards on the lake.
We made plans to come back to this campground again next year! We loved it!

Sad to say the campground has been suffering from deferred maintenance for a while. The fencing that keeps cows out of the campground is in horrible shape, and the cows wander the campground regularly in the last 3 years, crapping in the campsites and on the shoreline.

It was nice to see the sign showing our site was reserved with our name when we arrived. The site was clean and firewood available. The hiking trail was great, very well kept. Really liked the way the camp sites were tucked into the trees. Even though you are in a camp site it doesn't feel like you are crowded or on top of each other. Of course, the country and the views were awesome!

Quiet, private-feeling campsite in the aspens. Site was tidy. Tent pad was not adequate for our 10×10 tent. Vault restroom was in good condition. This campsite is well off the beaten path, and lacked potable water and cell service.

From Pinedale, take U.S. Highway 191 northwest for 6 miles. Turn north onto State Highway 352 and travel just over 14 miles. Turn east onto New Fork Lake Road, which is gravel, and travel 5 miles to the campground. Though the road is suitable for two wheel drive vehicles the road is rough and weather condtions can affect road surface. Call the district office for road conditions.

Policies & Rules
General
- There are no trash service, electric, water or sewer site hookups at this campground
- Livestock is not allowed at the campground
- Off-road vehicles must be licensed to operate in the campground and on surrounding roads.
- Off-Road Vehicles (OHV) riding must occur only on Forest Service designated routes where the class of vehicle and the season of use are permitted. This includes all motorized bikes. This requirement protects forest resources and prevents the development of non-system illegal routes. A valid license plate and/or an annual Wyoming ORV decal/permit is required to be visible per regulations on all OHV roads and trails Map and regulations
- Food Storage is required on the Bridger-Teton National Forest
- Turnarounds in the campground are narrow, oversized vehicles and trailers are not recommended
- All pets must be leashed within developed sites
