Probably one of the cleanest, well maintained campgrounds we have ever stayed at. The view of Meadowlark lake is stunning. I love this place.

Very clean campground. Cleanest vault toilets I've ever seen.

Great experience this time; other campers were courteous and respectful, including following the rules regarding their DOGS. Our table was in the best conditon, too. Campsite was in perfect condition. Women's restroom adjacent to Site #9 was exceptionally clean, for the first time ever. Even the windows were clean, and free of cobwebs and flies. Floor was spotless, including the corners. I have never witnessed this before, at this campground, or at any USFS Campground, as a matter of fact. So very pleasant!

Sweet little Campground! We stayed on the tent only loop on site #20, which was the closest to Meadowlark Lake, which offered gorgeous views and wildlife sightings (young moose, chipmunk, bald eagle). The camp host, Sally, was great! She gave us hike recommendations (740 is beautiful, and the lookout was a must!) and even brought us a battery pump for our airmattress. There was a lot of shade and dead wood to burn, but Sally also had bundles of firewood available at her site. Level tent pad, with driveway rock. Zero cell service. The other side of the loop has a creek, and rushing water can be heard accross the Campground. Views driving into and back from Tensleep are spectacular! Also, accross the creek, one road down, is a Lodge with ice, a restaraunt/bar, and various baked goods. Mosquitoes were present, but not intense. Water pump for dish washing and putting out fires. Surprisingly pleasant smelling toilet! Overall, a fantastic stay. We will be returning!

Nice campground. The host was friendly and helpful. Our site was nearest to the lake, and a little “buggy” at times, but not terrible. The site was clean with a nice table, fire ring, and lantern pole.
