Because of the extremely dry conditions, the pesky mosquitos were almost gone. In previous years, they have been really bad, but because of the dry conditions, it was very dusty. Due to so many campers, traffic was bad in the campground. It was full every night we were there (2 weeks). The camp hosts were not as good at cleaning up campsites as in the other campground where we stayed.

Beautiful campsite with excellent maintenance from the caretakers. Cleanest bathrooms in the national forest system. Would definitely come here again!

Great camp spot for designated camping. We had a double campsite and pleasantly surprised with the amount of trees and space between campsites. Would book here again!

The camp was very clean and well run. Mark and Janet are outstanding Hosts. They allowed me to recharge my C-pap batteries twice! One comment: We drove 1000 miles to be in the quiet. To withdraw from city life. But right next to us a man ran his generator till 10pm while watching a big screen movie inside his trailer. The sound doesn't bather him, he's inside his trailer! It was aggravating. Maybe have a loop of campsites where generators are allowed and barr them from the other loops. I know C-pap users argue for generators, but there are batteries for C-paps and C-paps with battieries built in. I know this is a contentious issue. But if I discover a daily generator user near me, I want to leave and go elsewhere.

The campground is gorgeous. We were greeted by several deer as we were setting up the tent. We enjoyed a hike at the nearby lake and at night the meadow by the campground provided amazing stargazing vistas.
