Fountain of Youth RV Park

Rugged RV park with modern amenities, 30/50amp, new electric and water at each site, plenty of xtra long pull through sites for those with long rigs, pulling trailers or extra vehicles.
Road noise due to location, which quiets down after dark. An active railroad track on the other side of the park, so if you’re sensitive to sounds waking you up, bring those earplugs .
Each site has a picnic table, built in BBQ on cement pad, though rig site is gravel. Some sites more level than others, though we had no problem ‘leveling’
Access to the absolutely amazing (and therapeutic) natural mineral hot springs pools, one hotter than the other. Included in the very reasonable overnight rate.
We appreciate and enjoy the ruggedness of this historic location and have met several down-to-earth enjoyable fellow travelers at the pool. The grounds and site have some deferred maintenance (thus the 4-stars) but the owners have been working hard to maintain, upgrade and improve this gem.
Beautifully remodeled, tiled individual showers next to the pool with remodeled bathrooms and changing stations. Several new Adirondack chairs and chaise lounges by the pools. Not really any shade, so keep that in mind - bring your sun hat & sunglasses!
If you’re into pristine grounds, asphalt or cement sites and modern, this wouldn’t be your favorite spot.
But if you’re down-to-earth (or want to be) and looking for a relaxing, rejuvenating spot to hang out for at least 2 nights to fully enjoy, this is it.

This place is so good, and so bad all at the same time. The people are awesome! The Thermo pools are amazing!! Good water pressure, and junction boxes. The sites themselves leave a LOT to be desired! But we weren’t there to stay in a 5 star resort, so we really did enjoy Thermopolis, and this campground.

I just got home from a long weekend here with the Landcruiser Club of Wyoming. We picked this place because our group is a mix of tent campers and RVs, and it fit the bill perfectly. The hot spring pool was just something that one does in Thermopolis, so far as I was concerned.

However, after being in the pool for less than an hour per day, I noticed a few things: my hair and scalp feel much better, a stalled wound on my shoulder is now healing (after 10 years!), and the skin on my face that has been red and irritated for years now looks normal. I'm not making any medical claims about the water, but I am relating my experience.

The RV parking/camping spots are precisely as described. Tristan in the office was a pleasure to deal with. Even though the RV park and pool were at capacity, there was plenty of room in the pool and you could hear a pin drop shortly after 10:00 every night.

This is a family friendly place. Locals skip the free state park and pay to go here. That tells you all you need to know.

The Fountain of Youth RV Park is run by good people and it attracts good people. I will be returning as soon as I can.

The hot spring pool is large and there’s tons of space to soak. Felt amazing! It’s also open from 7 am to 9:30 pm! Wi-Fi was bad tho and showers lost hot water by the end of the day. Showers are also timed per push. The camping is very basic and it’s right between the highway and a train track, the train is loud! And came by at least twice after hours. It’s dog friendly. Go primarily if you want the soak, I thought it was totally worth it, my boyfriend is less of a soaker and he was annoyed. the electric and water hook ups are fine. It’s right outside the hot springs state park but there’s no camping there and it closes at 5:30 pm.

We stayed about a full day and night here. The pics are from a while ago. This is a very dated hot springs. The pools are hot for sure. The area is looking very unkept. Landscaping and picking up trash around the pools should be a priority. Showers are working and clean. Overall had a fine time and the SP is right next door which is the real attraction endless trails and hot springs pools there as well.
