About Prune Creek
Prune Creek Campground is located along the Bighorn Scenic Byway (U.S. Highway 14) near the Burgess Junction at an elevation of 7.7 ft. The Bighorn National Forest offers a wide variety of activities, including hiking, fishing, scenic driving and a number of historic sites. The camp site was great. Access to the river and fishing was excellent. We had multiple cook wildlife sightings in one day including a couple of bull moose.

Mountain Managers were very helpful. Nice to have at least 2 bathrooms. Had a great experience by having a moose grazing by our campsite. Prett cool.

Highway access
Prune Creek is accessible via Hwy 14, which connects to US Highway 87 approximately 20 miles to the west.

- Each site allows two vehicles; the first is free and the second costs $10.
Site capacity
- Groups over 20 must use designated Day Use facilities for camping.

- You can buy firewood from the campground host.
