Spent only 1 night here but it was magical. Easily the best campsite in the park and the host was very nice.

One of the best spots we’ve stayed, loved being next to the creek. It was windy the night we stayed though.
That said, it seemed to have by far the most bear activity of the campsites in Yellowstone. Posters all over the campground and the host came up to make sure we were near safe. Very glad to be in an RV, don’t think I’d tent camp here

Only draw back was lack of water, otherwise this is the perfect location for wildlife viewing. So hard to get a reservation in, frustrating

This was the third campsite we stayed at during our out west trip from Kentucky. This was our second favorite campground simply due to its location within the park. Very isolated and was nice to have a spot away from the more popular areas. If you're looking to get up early for wildlife viewing, this is the place to stay at. The host was super friendly and nice. Gave us good recommendations. The biggest negative was how close you are to your neighbors. Some of the other sites offered a bit more privacy. It was fine for what we needed. Just sleeping our van and then getting up early for some wildlife viewing in the valley. I would definitely come here again. Didn't use the vault toilets so no observations there. No cell service but star linked worked great.
