What Guests Are Saying
Mammoth Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with clean facilities and stunning views, making it a great base for exploring Yellowstone. Campers appreciated the helpful staff, wildlife encounters, and easy access to nearby trails. While some restrooms were closed during certain seasons and check-in could be slightly confusing, the overall atmosphere remained peaceful and enjoyable for visitors.

Nice Spots to stay in the middle of nature. Some Bisons might visit your Spot. The Kathrin was warm and clean. Everything was Perfect for us! Thank you!

We stayed in March. The campground was half open with just a few sites occupied. The open bathroom was clean and stocked. You can easily ride a bike around the Mammoth area to see some of the sites. It was enjoyable to ride on the closed road starting at Mammoth Terrace.

Camped during March. The view and wildlife is absolutely stunning. However, my only complaint is not all restrooms being opened. We set up camp near the end of the campground near a restroom. However it was locked, and the only one open was at the entrance of the campground. It made for an interesting 330 AM bathroom walk.

Mammoth is a great winter destination if you have a four season camper!

I went there at the beginning of February and it is FF. Only a couple of campers there and the scan the app to pay was very easy to use.

The camp site was clean. A great place to camp to explore the north side of Yellowstone Park.

Only one restroom in campground was open near the check-in kiosk.
You had to drive down to the campground. Find a campsite. Get the QR code. Drive back to Mammoth Lodge for wifi access. Pay on line. Then drive back to campground. Not very smooth.

Lots of rain, despite being in winter. Not what we expected, but we adjusted. It was confusing how to check in that time of year, but eventually we did it.
