What Guests Are Saying
Eagle Creek Campground offers a beautiful location with stunning views and abundant wildlife, including elk frequently visiting the area. It is conveniently situated close to the Gardiner entrance of Yellowstone National Park, making it an ideal starting point for exploration. However, the campground has basic facilities, no water or garbage service, and the access road is rough and steep, which may pose challenges for some visitors.

Very steep hill to climb to get to campground. It is very close to the Gardiner entrance to Yellowwtone, and the view is very nice. Camp sites are spaced so that there is lots of room between sites. Sometimes elk come right into the campground. Closest campground to Gardiner entrance to Yellowsrtone.

We love this campground. Often the elk walk right through.

Small campground with very basic facilities (vault toilets, no water or garbage service), convenient location near the north entrance to Yellowstone NP. Friendly camp host. I‘d not recommend this particular side because there is zero shade. The sites near the creek are very nice though

Sites were very close together. A little noisy in the evenings. But a nicely kept Campground. There was a lot of reservations where the people never showed up.

Great campsite 10 min drive from town and the north gate of Yellowstone. Road is good condition. Buggy on a hot day.

As indicated in the description of the campground, not all sites are level, this includes site 9. Made our 5 night reservation about 5 months in advance. Good communication from recreation.gov to remind us of our reservation. Stayed at the campground our first night, it was noisy as people were driving in after dark looking for open sites (none available). We found a dispersed camping option for our next two nights. Got a text from the camp host to ask if we were going to return to the campground and answered that we were going to return for our final two nights. However, when we returned to site 9 that afternoon, our reservation was removed from the site stake and someone was in our site. We shared the site which was fine and our reservation was eventually put back on the stake. Bathrooms were clean. Seems like the campground could be better managed.
