Too hard to get a reservation. Too much traffic driving into campground, turning around, and driving back out.

It was hard to get a reservation due to limited spots, but what a great experience. First thing in the morning we had a herd of bison walking through our site and over the creek to the grassy area beyond! We saw bear on the Slough Creek Trail. Fantastic!

I love this campground because it is small, feels more wild (no pavement), and is in a quieter part of the park, close to a lot of visible large animals. This campground is NOT for someone who wants running water (other than the creek), or wants to be close to amenities, or is afraid of bears.
