Tower Fall Campground is beautiful, clean, quiet. It's a great location for exploring nearby Lamar Valley. Plenty of wildlife around, especially Black Bears. The camp host, Greg, is awesome. I stayed in site #17 for several days. It's a nice, spacious site.

Small campground. As most of the campgrounds in YNP, they are built on a smaller footprint. We had no trouble getting our 20 ft trailer in. I've been to this campground multiple times over the last two years and the hosts are outstanding, helpful, funny and full of great campground stories.

Tower Fall Campground appears to be a magical place. A very old and small-ish campground, created decades ago. It is nestled in the forest just above the falls. Wildlife is abundant. Despite my overall rating, I would encourage people to camp there. However, I would also suggest that you thoroughly understand the campsite they plan to reserve as it relates to their equipment. I had a 17 ft pickup truck and 14ft trailer and they were not going to fit safely (this is my opinion only) in site #13. I am totally responsible for the misunderstanding. I should have done more research. That doesn't prevent me from suggesting that the park service be a bit more explicit when reserving site #13. Just say no to trailers!

Beautiful location... The pit toilet was very clean... I didn't like how all of the spots were next to each other with very little privacy. Probably better to get one of the spots on the far ends, but only so much to choose from if you're doing a late booking.

We liked the camp, however our assigned spot, #17 is not suitable for any rv. It should be a tent only site. Greg the host is really great, really liked him and he helped us get a different site that worked.

The campgoung host Greg was great. He checked on everyone in the evening and gave us great spots to view wildlife. Our family was disappointed in the new fire pit. The walls on the side were too tall making the grate too high. Making a fire to reach the high grate took some engineering. Plus it was difficult to roast marshmallows.

Policies & Rules
General
- Tower Fall Campground is managed by the park. If you are looking for campgrounds managed by Yellowstone National Park Lodges (Fishing Bridge RV Park, Bridge Bay, Canyon, Madison, and Grant Village campgrounds), please visit the Yellowstone National Park Lodges Camping web page.
- RV or Camper Unit Delivery Prohibited. The delivery or pick-up of out-of-park RVs or other camper unit rentals is prohibited.
- Notify the Campground of Late Arrivals. To notify campground of late arrival or cancellation please call 307-344-2289
- Parking. Park all wheeled vehicles, including trailers and motorcycles, on parking pads or established roadways, so as not to block or restrict traffic in campgrounds.
- Maximum Campsite Occupancy. Maximum occupancy is six people per site. Camp only in designated sites. Camping is limited to 14 days from July 1 through Labor Day and to 30 days the rest of the year parkwide. The 44-day camping limit includes both concession- and park-operated campgrounds.
- Wildlife/Bear Regulations. • Keep all food and related items - beverages, cooking utensils, stoves, pet food and, empty or full, food and beverage containers such as coolers, ice chests, and water jugs - locked inside your vehicle or stored in a food storage box, unless in immediate use. Bear resistant food containers must be kept in a vehicle, in a hard-sided camping unit, or in a food storage box. • Dispose of all trash and garbage in the provided bear-proof trash cans. Do not leave food related trash or garbage unattended. • The park prohibits washing dishes or clothing at campground hydrants or spigots. Carry all dishwater/wastewater to the restroom toilet for disposal.
- Campfires and Firewood. Wood and charcoal fires are permitted. Campfires are permitted only in established fire grates. Fires must be attended at all times. Only dead, down, and detached wood may be gathered. Wood should not extend outside the fire grate perimeter. Do not break limbs off of standing trees, living or dead. Drown campfires thoroughly with water to make sure they are completely out. NOTE: Wood and charcoal fires may be subject to special restrictions due to fire danger. Campground information boards will list restrictions or check the Current Conditions page on the park website. Propane grills and stoves are not usually affected by fire restrictions.
- Quiet hours are strictly enforced. No loud audio devices or other noise disturbances will be allowed during this time.
- Stay on Boardwalks and Trails. All travel in thermal areas is restricted to NPS designated trails and boardwalks.
- Fishing. To fish within the park, persons 16 years of age and older are required to purchase and carry a Yellowstone National Park Fishing Permit (you may purchase in advance). To learn more, visit the Catch a Fish page on the park website.
