Our campsite, #5. We stayed in our 26' travel trailer w/extended cab truck. The unnecessary railing at the back of the site prevented us from backing up all the way, but we were just able to park the truck sideways. The site was very unlevel, campground was very small and tight. Would not recommend a larger trailer. One Trail in campground was closed and the other had not been maintained since flood washed out the bridge. Bathrooms were clean but very smelly. Camp Host, Greg P. was very helpful and very hardworking.

The camp host was very helpful and informative. The restrooms were clean. Of the 4 places we stayed in Yellowstone, Tower had the best staff, best public, best wildlife, and best experience.

Tower campground is fantastic. It’s quiet and very dark so you can see the stars. The water at the campground is absolutely delicious. Campground host was so informative and helpful. I plan to camp there many more times over the next few years. There were reports of a bear in the area, but it caused no trouble because the sites were all clean. We were also told about a cougar in the area.

Showed up to this campsite with our truck camper and it was impossible to park in the spot. Very short and very sloped. Wish had specified on description that it would not accommodate a truck camper. There was no other option according to host so we ended up driving to Cooke City and camping in a great campground there. Unfortunate since our plan was to be in the Lamar Valley at dawn which did not happen. There was a large flat parking lot, empty, for hikers/bikers, but the host said not possible for us to park there for the 1 night.

This campground is perfect to observe the wonders of the Lamar Valley. Campground host Greg regularly walks the facility, checking on guests and providing insight on great places to visit in the park. For me, he and his wife were invaluable in determining good places to Wolf watch. Thank you for an amazing week… I’ll be back!!
