What Guests Are Saying
Hardridge Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with friendly staff and well-maintained sites, especially near the water. Many campers appreciate the spaciousness and natural setting, with highlights including great views and opportunities for kayaking and fishing. However, some reviews indicate a decline in maintenance, particularly regarding bathrooms, laundry facilities, and overgrown vegetation, as well as issues with ants. Overall, it remains a favorite for many, though improvements are needed.

Another nice COE campground. COE's are the best deal, IMHO, for RV camping if you have an America the Beautiful pass to get 50% discount, which will result in nightly camping fees of $12-15 per night. I've been in many COEs (Eastern and Southern US) and all have been clean with decent to large sites and decent to good spacing. Hardridge Creek fits this mold. In particular, if you can get one of the sites on Pirates Cove (PCOV loop) you'll be blessed. PCOV is a small peninsula (8 sites, #38-45) into the lake with fairly private sites at the waters edge. Really sweet! Hardridge Creek also has pretty good cell coverage for Verizon and ATT.

Everything was very nice, good fishing. Restrooms need to be cleaned more often.

Our first visit here, but definitely not our last!!! We had a lakefront site. The park is well maintained. It was more quiet than others we have been to, which I like. My husband reported that the bathrooms were clean on the days that there were hosts on duty (I don’t understand why there are days with no host on duty). The area that we were in had fewer campsites than other areas so it was very peaceful. Our site felt private due to the trees/bushes between sites. Love this campground!!!

This was our third time back to Hardridge Creek. We stayed at our favorite campsite #43. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Everything was very clean

Nicest and most accommodating staff of any of the parks so far! Love this place and the fishing experience it offers - Alabama’s best kept secret!!

The only thing that I dislike about this recreation area was that it was beautiful, calming, so easy to access and just the best place we have visited yet. If you can improve on these aspects you are a better person than I am. We truly enjoyed this camp. Thank you for the opportune.
