What Guests Are Saying
Hardridge Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with friendly staff and well-maintained sites, especially near the water. Many campers appreciate the spaciousness and natural setting, with highlights including great views and opportunities for kayaking and fishing. However, some reviews indicate a decline in maintenance, particularly regarding bathrooms, laundry facilities, and overgrown vegetation, as well as issues with ants. Overall, it remains a favorite for many, though improvements are needed.

Ants. Be prepared for lots of them on Site 72 in August, September, and November. They came home with us each visit.
Lights. The shower area was not looking gated. There is a switch on the wall, but only the lights in the toilet/sink area worked. It was very unsafe; creepy.
Locks. Take some one with you to the shower. There is only the outdoor lock on the bathroom. No way to feel secure while showering without locking everyone else out. Safety first.
Courtesy. Male attendant at check in challenged my spouse in the use of my Senior Pass card. I made the reservation on that card . It’s one of hundreds of reservations we have made. The attendant’s attitude was not at all helpful nor polite. His attitude should be a reflection of the organization. I hope it is not.

The Park Ranger was the Biggest A__ Hole I have every meet at a Park. After staying there for a total of 22 days we found a new park to stay at and I will not stay at another park like this again.

A quiet campground. We saw a huge eagle flying overhead, just a few feet above our heads. There are ants, so it would be wise to spray around your wheels.

Overall a great time with our family! Gate attendants were very pleasant. Very convenient store just outside the campground for ice. Definitely go prepared for ants! Would definitely go back.

It seems the park has been let go. The only time we saw a Ranger is when we checked in. The sites were not blown off with debris. Thankfully the laundry rate was reasonable.

Beautiful campground with an absolutely unbeatable location and a friendly, helpful staff. I only have two negative comments. Some of the campsites (including site 5 which we used) need their parking pads reworked to make them a bit wider and to repair crumbling edges. Although the restrooms were conveniently located and generally clean, they could use some cobweb removal, cleaning of the above the floor walls and ceilings and replacement of virtually useless mirrors above the sinks.
