What Guests Are Saying
Hardridge Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with friendly staff and well-maintained sites, especially near the water. Many campers appreciate the spaciousness and natural setting, with highlights including great views and opportunities for kayaking and fishing. However, some reviews indicate a decline in maintenance, particularly regarding bathrooms, laundry facilities, and overgrown vegetation, as well as issues with ants. Overall, it remains a favorite for many, though improvements are needed.

Campground has lots of nice spots along the lake. Although I like full-hookups and stayed in the Shady Loop that had them, next time I would stay in the w/e loops. The FH loop sites are close together and can't access the lake. Also the ants were terrible in early April. Lots to do in the area. Visited the dam, nearby Abbeville.

I love this campground! Large spacious campsites. Very clean and the campground was busy but was very quiet.

Great camping area. Not much traffic in and out and quite peaceful everytime we come. Would like to see the dumpsters empties a little more frequently if possible as they really overflow and stink.

A very nice stay at Hardridge Creek Campground. It was sad to see so many trees cut down because of the pine beetle infestation. Still plenty of shade at the campsites. Better lighting in the bath houses would be nice.

We had a great family/friend spring carport. We left a day early due to the wind but we will be back ! The
buddy site was perfect for our group. The shower/restrooms were clean and accessible.

First time camping here and from the start we had a great experience!
We unfortunately had some bad weather with flooding that forced us to move from our original site but they were very determined to find a comparable site that would accommodate our desire to fish.
Sites were well maintained and small patches of trees provided just enough privacy between sites. We will definitely be back!

Nice concrete pad and asphalt drive but site 71 is small. Site 70 driveway is right next to your RV and your picnic table area adjoins site70 making these 2 sites really buddy sites. Check in and out was easy. Propane is 22 miles away so be sure your tank is full. Buy your groceries before entering park because Abbeyville is 17 miles away and Eufaula is a 20 mile drive.. Downed tree are everywhere detracting from any beauty the park may have had. Lake is huge but extremely muddy. Park was very peaceful and we enjoyed our weeklong stay.

Nice quiet campground on lake. Most sites were spread out. Bathrooms were dated but clean. Wish they had more trails to walk. There was only one.
