What Guests Are Saying
Hardridge Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with friendly staff and well-maintained sites, especially near the water. Many campers appreciate the spaciousness and natural setting, with highlights including great views and opportunities for kayaking and fishing. However, some reviews indicate a decline in maintenance, particularly regarding bathrooms, laundry facilities, and overgrown vegetation, as well as issues with ants. Overall, it remains a favorite for many, though improvements are needed.

We camped here for our first time. The park attendant Mr Rick is Super. The park is beautiful with great amenities, bathhouses, playground and campsites. We enjoyed the full hookup site. The boat landing is very nice also. The downside for us was having problems with ants getting on everything including the camper. We brought our pet so we had to watch him carefully due to the ant problem. We left early due to the ant problem. If the ant problem could be fixed it would be super!

Restrooms need some upgrades imo. Just a simple hook or two on each shower wall and a curtain would be great. So be prepared to have to find a place to hold your clothes/towel, etc. so they aren’t wet as you are when you leave the shower. The beach area is nice and riding our bikes was peaceful.

Lovely campground. Waterfront site but no sewer. Love the waterfront.

Would Not Recommend. Camp site #9 was right inside camp site #8 and only two feet from site #10. You are literally camping with your neighbors. How close the sites are together, shows the greed of the park. For the four days that I stayed, the restroom was never cleaned, same trash on the floor in the same spot day after day. The camp site had trash in the fire pit and litter around the site. Definitely not the park to go to for a pleasant camping experience.

This is a nice, quiet park that is well maintained. Bath houses are air conditioned and cleaned daily.
We stayed at site 41 which is a pull through site with water views on both sides. It is one of our favorites.

This park is one of the National Parks services best kept secrets. Many of the sites have private beach access. The site are large, level and private. Many with shared drives so that multiple family units can camp together. The sandy beach was a wonderful surprise and the water was clear. Very appealing.

Upon arrival to my site I was accosted by an elderly gentleman who asked me to turn off my music. I told him if he had a complaint he should not approach me, but tell management. When management arrived, I was reprimanded to be moved to appease all parties. I was moved to a beautiful site...but it was not fair considering management admitted that I was not in the wrong. I appreciate the end result but it seemed I was in the wrong. Excellent camping site though! I will return!
