What Guests Are Saying
Hardridge Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with friendly staff and well-maintained sites, especially near the water. Many campers appreciate the spaciousness and natural setting, with highlights including great views and opportunities for kayaking and fishing. However, some reviews indicate a decline in maintenance, particularly regarding bathrooms, laundry facilities, and overgrown vegetation, as well as issues with ants. Overall, it remains a favorite for many, though improvements are needed.

This is a beautiful and quiet campground. It is our favorite. We visit several times per year to escape Michigan winter. The hosts we met were very friendly and helpful.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We got the peace and quiet we were looking for to unwind. The only part that became an issue was when we wanted to extend our stay. With a 44' 5th wheel, it wasn't easy to just pick up and move to another spot, not to mention we were a bit upset to see that the camper that came in was 1/2 our size. Thats the one thing about state campgrounds that I find an issue with; it does not matter the size of your camper for the space you reserve. However, it does limit those of us who have larger campers/RV's. So maybe those who are reserving sites should save the larger sites for those who will need them.

We always love going to Hardridge - it's such a beautiful campground, and it's in a good location for us. We enjoy making a day trip to Dothan each time we visit. We recently stayed in site 69, and it's a beautiful secluded lot. The back-in driveway is a little tricky, but the site was level. There is a steep trail to the water - easier going down than coming back up! The view of the lake is semi-obstructed from the campsite. Bathrooms are nice and clean! We will definitely be back!
