What Guests Are Saying
Hardridge Creek offers a beautiful and peaceful camping experience with friendly staff and well-maintained sites, especially near the water. Many campers appreciate the spaciousness and natural setting, with highlights including great views and opportunities for kayaking and fishing. However, some reviews indicate a decline in maintenance, particularly regarding bathrooms, laundry facilities, and overgrown vegetation, as well as issues with ants. Overall, it remains a favorite for many, though improvements are needed.

Hosts where extremely helpful. Campground is well cared for and I will keep it on my list.
I only have one negative. I had originally reserved a longer stay here, but due to storms closer to home, I needed to cancel the first couple of days. I called daily to request cancelling the first couple days but keep the balance of the reservation. The phone would ring endlessly and the opportunity to leave a voice mail never came up. Eventually my entire reservation was auto-cancelled. I was able to make a new reservation, but doubt there would have been any openings if the weather was better.
When I arrived, I mentioned this and was told that a storm took out their phone service 2 weeks prior and hadn't been fixed yet. Somehow, whether an alert on their website or a text and/email message about my reservation would have been appreciated.

Site 76 was perfect! Nice and flat in loop shady to have sewer hookup. We look forward to going back to this site at this campground. T-mobile cellular service was perfect, without any issues.

This is a great USACE campground. Pirates Cove in particular is lovely with only eight sites sitting on a small peninsula jutting into the lake. Hosts are friendly, campground is clean. Like most USACE campgrounds, bathhouses could use updating but are clean and functional. I've been to this campground several times and will keep coming back. Note: Beware of sugar ants. If you're stay is more than a few days, have a plan to prevent ant infestation into the camper.

Staff was very helpful. Site 40 was fantastic. Had a great view of the water. Also, site 52 was right on the water and very quiet. Only negative is they need more hiking/biking trails. Low cost was a real plus. Highly recommend.
