Nice campground. The barges were a little annoying. Nothing to do in the area. Had to drive at least 45 minutes to do any hiking.

Overall our trip was wonderful. Lots of people enjoying camping life. Children playing and laughing. The staff and volunteers were very helpful and kind. The Lord blessed our family gathering with joy and laughter, wonderful food and several fish 🐟.

This is a nice place to camp. But you need to bring your own fun as there are not trails or other activities. Also, they say don’t transport firewood on the website, well you need to bring your own firewood. As there is no camp store and no place to buy firewood within 20 miles of the campsite.

This campground was very quiet and well maintained. I had a very relaxing trip. The only thing that would have made the experience better would have been a trail or two to hike. Instead my dog and I just walked along the road throughout the campground.

We were in site 7. The site, being directly on the river with its own deck was very nice. The problem was backing in. The water/electric hookups for site 7 are on the opposite side of the camper, so the door faced the road instead of the river. It was early November and there weren't many people there. It's an older park but still maintained well. The bathhouse for the riverside sites has no showers but there are campsites and showers in the main body of the park. There are no stores nearby and cell/mobile service is non-existent. We have Starlink which worked well where we were because we had some open sky area. We like to stay closer to home and this one was a bit farther out. Not sure we'll visit this one again in future.
