We were in site 7. The site, being directly on the river with its own deck was very nice. The problem was backing in. The water/electric hookups for site 7 are on the opposite side of the camper, so the door faced the road instead of the river. It was early November and there weren't many people there. It's an older park but still maintained well. The bathhouse for the riverside sites has no showers but there are campsites and showers in the main body of the park. There are no stores nearby and cell/mobile service is non-existent. We have Starlink which worked well where we were because we had some open sky area. We like to stay closer to home and this one was a bit farther out. Not sure we'll visit this one again in future.

When we arrived Monday afternoon we were greeted by a nice lady but once we passed through the gate is was down hill from there. We have been coming here for years and love it. But this time was horrible. Bathrooms not working, couldn’t tell where pavement was from all the leaves. Had to clean off my site before setup. Had a rain storm Tuesday morning 4 am no biggie lost power ok no problem but 28 hours later still out when everything around the park had power. Never saw any host after we arrived. The drive and bath house parking was so covered up with leaves you couldn’t tell where to go . I’ve never had this much trouble here. I have requested a refund for two of the 4 days. I am truly disappointed in Burchfield branch. It’s such a beautiful place hopefully they can figure out what needs addressing. Even the people next to us had to borrow a blower from one of the host for their site. The host should have taken care of it. But instead handed it off to the woman. This is just not a good way to keep people coming back

The park is very secluded and clean, the River is just beautiful with the occasional Heron and Egret. We got to see a Tug and several barges loaded with coal transverse the River as well. Nice quiet space, absolutely no internet signal at all which was expected so bring some reading material. The restrooms have no showers so be prepared for that as well. Nice peaceful park and will definitely go again.

Was there on a Monday night and stayed in one of the sites along the river. Was a great site and being a Monday - off season I had no neighbors. The show house is in the upper campground was clean, well lite, and shower was hot.

It was really good. It would just be better if there was cell service in case there was an emergency
