What Guests Are Saying
Pickensville Campground offers spacious, well-maintained sites with a beautiful riverside view, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and outdoor activities like biking. The campground is noted for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and peaceful atmosphere, with many guests expressing a desire to return. While some facilities, like certain bathrooms, show signs of age and there are limited full hookups, ongoing improvements are being made to enhance the overall experience.

Overall pretty good. One bad Apple Park attendant that was very rude to members of our group. Handicap camper riding in mini golf cart with handicap sticker. Understand now that this has to be approved, but when handicap driver said I can’t walk so I need it, the attendant said “I don’t care if you can’t crawl, you still can’t use this vehicle.” Understood, but heartless and cruel.. Others told us that this person “who drives a red pickup” is constantly behaving this way with campers. Management “do something about this”. Pickinsville has always been one of my favorite campgrounds. Except for this...

Very clean sites, very family oriented campground. Park Rangers needs to in force the parking rules more with tickets. Most people were parked in the road with their boats and it is hard for other campers to get in to their site if they have to back in a RV and other vehicles. Park hosts stopped and ask them to move numerous times and the host was ignored. The cell service is not good in the campground but on the water side it is better. The camp hosts are VERY friendly and helpful that works the gate house. Can't wait to go again in July. Best camp ground around the eastern side of Alabama .

While we were their we had boat motor trouble and a very nice couple towed us in. Thanks to that sweet couple.. We will be back as soon as we can get the time off. Thanks again for a great stay.
