What Guests Are Saying
Pickensville Campground offers a clean, well-kept, and peaceful environment, ideal for relaxation and outdoor activities like biking. Many campers enjoyed spacious, shady sites with beautiful water views and friendly staff. While some facilities, such as the bathhouses, could use updates, the overall experience is positive, with visitors planning to return.

I was so excited to see that Pickensville had reopened as it was always a favorite place that was not so far way to visit. This time I was very disappointed in the appearance of the campground. You would think a little effort would have been taken to cut tall weeds and spray for mosquitoes and biting flies. A pressure washing would have made things look fresher also. Very disappointed.

Beautiful campground. Scenic views of the Tenn-Tom waterway. Mostly quiet. Bathrooms were clean.

Unfortunately we could only stay one night of a longer planned trip due to the closure of the park. At the time of our trip the river was cresting to a dangerous level and the rangers informed the park it would need to close it. They sent out email notifications and also had the volunteer hosts go around and notify all that they would need to leave immediately due to high river cresting and potential flooding event. Recreation.gov refunded without having to request it all days not able to camp because of this event. Outstanding results other than not being able to camp as expected. Our first time at this site but we liked it enough to reschedule a trip later this year.
