What Guests Are Saying
Pickensville Campground offers spacious, well-maintained sites with a beautiful riverside view, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and outdoor activities like biking. The campground is noted for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and peaceful atmosphere, with many guests expressing a desire to return. While some facilities, like certain bathrooms, show signs of age and there are limited full hookups, ongoing improvements are being made to enhance the overall experience.

Beautiful campground. Scenic views of the Tenn-Tom waterway. Mostly quiet. Bathrooms were clean.

Unfortunately we could only stay one night of a longer planned trip due to the closure of the park. At the time of our trip the river was cresting to a dangerous level and the rangers informed the park it would need to close it. They sent out email notifications and also had the volunteer hosts go around and notify all that they would need to leave immediately due to high river cresting and potential flooding event. Recreation.gov refunded without having to request it all days not able to camp because of this event. Outstanding results other than not being able to camp as expected. Our first time at this site but we liked it enough to reschedule a trip later this year.

Perfect for biking. Had some nice sites to visit. Only thing missing was site sewer. site sewage would have given it an excellent rating.
