What Guests Are Saying
Pickensville Campground offers spacious, well-maintained sites with a beautiful riverside view, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and outdoor activities like biking. The campground is noted for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and peaceful atmosphere, with many guests expressing a desire to return. While some facilities, like certain bathrooms, show signs of age and there are limited full hookups, ongoing improvements are being made to enhance the overall experience.

Bathhouse were absolutely nasty. Great area just needs limbs trimmed around some of the sites. Web sight for reservation needs an update.

Nice well spaced sites on the Ten-Tom Waterway. Saw a large tug and barges go right by our site.

We enjoyed our 2 week stay in site 73. We had plenty of space in our FU pull-thru site. Our site was not directly on the river, but across. We still enjoyed watching the barges pass from our site. The campground is in the middle of nowhere. It is about an hour drive to the bigger cities. Columbus, MS has a great Riverwalk trail we would highly recommend. Our stay was quiet and we enjoyed walking/running around the campground and trails.

Site #136 is our favorite spot. We even lengthened our stay a couple nights because we enjoyed it so much. We had the whole culdesac to ourselves as most campers preferred the few full HU's near the bathhouse. Amazing views of the river with lots of wild life, boat and barge activity. Very quiet spot but not sure if that changes once the system ramps up. The only issue we had was flies getting into the camper as we have never had that before. Not sure if that was due to the weather change from cold to warmer. Husband caught 4 bass right off the fishing pier nearby. Hostess was very helpful and friendly. Bathhouse was a little worn but clean. As others have mentioned, you will need to drive about 30 minutes for a good restaurant and gas. There is a small station nearby that has ice, snacks, bait but gas pumps were shut down, I believe due to an owner change.
