This campground boasts both a campground and day use area with many activities and amenities for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Site #136 is our favorite spot. We even lengthened our stay a couple nights because we enjoyed it so much. We had the whole culdesac to ourselves as most campers preferred the few full HU's near the bathhouse. Amazing views of the river with lots of wild life, boat and barge activity. Very quiet spot but not sure if that changes once the system ramps up. The only issue we had was flies getting into the camper as we have never had that before. Not sure if that was due to the weather change from cold to warmer. Husband caught 4 bass right off the fishing pier nearby. Hostess was very helpful and friendly. Bathhouse was a little worn but clean. As others have mentioned, you will need to drive about 30 minutes for a good restaurant and gas. There is a small station nearby that has ice, snacks, bait but gas pumps were shut down, I believe due to an owner change.
