This campground boasts both a campground and day use area with many activities and amenities for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors enjoy hunting, fishing, picnicking, water sports and watching the barges go by on the waterway.

We absolutely love this place. Sites are great. Just wish they sold firewood so that it would have been nice to have fire on cold nights. Also wish they could work out plan to have laundry open even due to Covid. One suggestion would to give key to one campground site and when they’re finished it is returned after it is cleaned by host or whomever it can then go to the next site individual. We will definitely be returning.

Absolutely loved Pickensville! Stayed there the last weekend of January it was awesome. Sitting by the river watching a Bald Eagle fish right in front of us was such a treat.

We love watching the barges and boats go up and down the Ten-Tom waterway, buying baked goods at the Ole Country Bakery 18 miles away, and walking and riding our bikes in the campground. It’s our favorite campground.
