What Guests Are Saying
Pickensville Campground offers spacious, well-maintained sites with a beautiful riverside view, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and outdoor activities like biking. The campground is noted for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and peaceful atmosphere, with many guests expressing a desire to return. While some facilities, like certain bathrooms, show signs of age and there are limited full hookups, ongoing improvements are being made to enhance the overall experience.

I have never been disappointed at Pickensville Campground. Always kept up, clean restroom, courteous hosts, great views, nature walks, bike riding, and just an all around good getaway.

While the campground is nice I had the worst neighbors - the camper hosts. They had a bucket light hanging for Alabama which had a strobe light going 24/7. They also let their dog run loose all the time.

The park is fabulous but has been forgotten. Lots of sites, great views, plenty of room. Not much nearby so it’s good for relaxing. Try The Lodge Steak & Fish, great food, beautiful restaurant. Internet was fair. We could only pick up 3 channels on TV. Site 120 is FHU.

We love coming to PCG. We were a bit surprised by the way that the place was not taken care of. The grass was high in places, a lot of branches were down as well. We had to weed eat our spot before we could finish sitting up we were in lot 109.
The bathhouse was clean at all times, that was the only thing.
The other thing that needs to be addressed is the cell usage down there is not comparable to other camp grounds, the state needs to address this, there needs to be ways for people to have signal to be able to reach people in case of emergencies.
