We stay at Corinth Recreation area often. We love how spacious the sites are and how clean everything is. There are some areas that need some money spent such as bathroom doors, but when you go into the bathrooms, they are clean and smell nice (not something I can say for many restrooms). We have gone to Corinth even more this year and last year because of the hosts in Firefly #30. The two ladies hosting in #30 are always friendly and helpful, full of good answers, and this year we have seen they had to work with a couple of different sets of hosts in #1, and the most recent ones are nice, but the male comes across hateful and militant when you are checking in and getting the rules, but other interactions with them have been pleasant. The hosts in #30 say they are planning to be back again next year, and I really hope so because they make Corinth a great place to stay. The grounds are always clean with no trash in sight, grass is usually well kept, rules are enforced, and trashcans in public areas seem to be emptied on a regular basis. Overall, a very well-run facility that we plan to visit again and again.

If you’re there for an overnight trip this place is fine. If you were there for a lengthy amount of time this place is so boring! My husband and I hiked down to the waters edge and found the overlook and the paths were not maintained at all! There were a lot of structures that have completely fallen apart. We were very disappointed and I know that we will not go back to this campground.

This is a very nice campground for adults. IT IS NOT KID FRIENDLY. No playgrounds and the website said paved trails. The only pathways that were paved was in yellowhammer loop, which sucked because I'm disabled in a wheelchair. The beach area was quite a ways away from our loop.

We enjoyed our visit. The bathrooms were clean. The campground was well kept. The staff was nice and very helpful during check in.
We visited the Houston Historic Jail. That was fun. Will definitely be back again.
