My wife and I have been camping here for over 30 years, this is one of the best views you will get in the area. This campground use to be the cleanest around but now, bath house’s or not up to par, grass is always high and not cut and the camp pads have grass growing up through the surface, you can’t even tell where your pad ends and the grass begins to. I have heard the corps were wanting the city to take it over because they say they are losing money.

The grass appeared not to have been mowed for some time. There was a lot of small litter items around, not just my site but every;where i.e. bottle caps, butts, some plastic bottles, other pieces of paper. The site could have been maintain betterr, blown off, grass clear to off edges of pad. I have been a host at other parks, including COE parks this is the least maintained. Though I am reflecting on my experience the park itself in on a beautiful lake and location. This was my second time there in the last year and I didn't see any changes. COE gate volunteers very friendly and well organized.

Great place to stay, but it would have been much nicer if the bath houses a/c were working, been out for a while now

Our main complaint is about the bath houses. There were only 2 open and there was NO AIR-CONDITIONING. Thankfully they were cutting the tall grass the second day of our trip. That is all.

My husband and went July 6th-9th. It was quiet with very few ppl there. The grass was grown up knee high. I have short Boston Terrier’s and I was concerned for their safety. The grass got cut on the 8th. We stayed on lot 47 by the water. I was very disappointed.

Beautiful park, but the grass was out of control. Especially during a holiday weekend. Kids were scared to walk through it.
