Aerial/drone view showing the RV resort area, pool complex, pathways and surrounding campground layout — good overview of on-site facilities (file labelled 'rv resort drone view' on the Gulf State Park page).
A wooden boardwalk leads over sand dunes to a wide beach lined with colorful umbrellas and beachgoers. The sky is mostly cloudy, and the ocean is visible in the distance.
A paved path winds through a shaded park area with large trees, where several people ride bicycles. Cars are visible on a nearby road, and a calm body of water stretches across the right side of the scene under a partly cloudy sky.
A grassy, tree‑shaded area in an RV park with several RVs parked on paved pads in the background. A picnic table and grill sit near the water, and the sky is clear with scattered clouds.
Long-exposure dusk view of a pier over the water (Gulf State Park pier image used as a background on the park page) — attractive scenic shot of a notable on-site landmark.

Excellent location! Close to aqua green beaches and fantastic restaurants, shopping, and a short drive to awesome Fort Morgan, Fairhope and Foley. Beautiful trails crisscross through and around the park. Gorgeous freshwater lake for fishing, swimming or boating. Clean, spacious, well cared for RV sites with shade trees and grass. Huge gorgeous pool. The showers are okay. Better than some I've seen. Laundry room has several machines. This is a safe, gated part, with friendly and accommodating staff.

This is a beautiful park. Lots of biking and walking trails. There are free bikes to rent however if you want to do a lot of the park I would suggest renting the paid bikes. There are alligators and wonderful birds to see! The nature center is free (after $3 admission to campground) and has amazing exhibits and love animals!

Nice place to visit. Cabin was new and clean. Kitchen was stocked pretty well and they supplied firewood and starters for a campfire. Bring your own camping chairs. The bike trails were really nice and the fishing pier was as well. Will visit again.

Gulf State Park was very unique in the fact that the park felt like it was squashed in-between the town. It was gorgeous though, with the lake on one side and the Gulf on the other. Great boardwalks thoughout the park, just be careful if you are foot traffic as cyclists will run you down. There is a great playground area for the kids and perfect picnic tables right on the lake.

I visited friends for 5 days at this State park and it was awesome. There are 28 mi of bike trails, Pickle Ball courts, a great nature center and I saw 🐊 Alligators, Great Blue Herons, Armadillos, Pelicans & a lot of cool shells 🐚 on the beach. You can ride on the trails to the beach. The bath houses are very clean. I also did a load of laundry and found that to be great. I will definitely be back to this State park as it is so peaceful and I felt very safe there. I recommend this campground to all campers.
