What Guests Are Saying
Bluff Creek Campground receives high praise for its friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities, and beautiful natural surroundings, including the frequent sighting of deer. Many visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the convenience of boat access, although some express concerns about noise from a nearby paper mill and the need for improved maintenance, especially regarding the boat ramp and site cleanliness. Overall, guests find it a great spot for camping, with a desire for more amenities and better access to the water.

Nice campground. Pretty crowded and the sites are close together. But quite and had a great time. Not too far from local stores if you forgot something. Fortunately we were about to get in our site early. Did run out around 4:00pm and the line getting in was very backed up. Staff is nice, but not in no hurry whatsoever. Was there in a holiday weekend so the papermill down river wasn't running. But when they did start on Sunday night we couldn't sleep for the noise from I m there. Monday morning the sulfur smell was so bad I thought an animal died under our rig.
Verizon cell service is VERY poor

The grounds are kept up and clean, bathrooms are clean and it’s very peaceful! The camp hosts were very helpful and it was a nice place to relax and fish some!

The sites are run down and need to be refurbished. The host was not friendly at all and treated us like criminals. The gate was LOCKED each night and we were not allowed to leave until 7 a.m. They said if we had an emergency they would call us an ambulance. But if you do not feel well or your child is sick you cannot leave to get some medication at the nearest drug store. I have been to many COE campgrounds across the country and none of them LOCK YOU IN! In addition there is noise and odor coming from a nearby mill that continues into the night. I strongly discourage anyone from staying at this campground.

This campground is across the lake/river from a paper mill. The whole campground smells like a paper mill (which is awful, in case you haven't had the pleasure!) and is LOUD. Like a freight train going non stop on an airport tarmac loud. There were lots of waterfront sites which would have been lovely, but we couldn't enjoy any time outdoors for the smell and sounds. We canceled after the first night and went to a state park in GA.

Our site was perfect. We especially enjoyed our campground hosts, Frank and Ira Moore.

We were very pleased with our stay, and would have extended it if we could. We had a nice welcome, albeit quite late in the day. Our site was scenic, quiet (empty loop) and the facilities were quite nice, including the showers. We usually never get hookups, but this site had power and water. For us there was no noise or odor from the paper mill. Ok, yes, the railroad tracks just before the park are unusually rough and should be MUCH more leveled. However, it was definitely not as “threatening” as potholes you’d find in many other places. Our stay was only a night and we didn’t explore hiking or activities. Finally, there were places to buy supplies within a reasonable distance. It’s relative of course; for us and places we’ve been—not an issue at Bluff Creek. If around the area again, we would go back again.
