Great place to camp! The attendants were so friendly. The deer were numerous and not too shy. The park is full of trails and fishing along the Black Warrior River. Great views high above the water. Campsites are paved and well equipped with fire rings, table and grills. We will camp here again.

Tent camping at site 41. Nice trails around camp. Met some very nice Alabama football fans there for a game. Campgrounds are close to Tuscaloosa as the crow flies, but 25-30 minutes by car. Beautiful lake views.

The campground was clean. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. The views in the fall with the leaves changing are beautiful. We enjoyed the paved walking trails, the fire pit at our site, and seeing all the deer while we were there. It’s quite a drive in to town so bring what you will need with you and you won’t have the hassle of leaving. You won’t want to leave such a great campground once you’re there anyway. There is no sewer hookup at the sites but there is a dump station to use when leaving and it worked as it should. We stayed in site #23 in our 35’ long fifth wheel. It’s a pull thru site but you have to be careful and maneuver your rig a certain way to allow room for the slide. Slow and steady will get the job done. We loved our camping trip to Deerlick and we will return in the future

Always a great time. Only thing that could've made it better was less trees in the water next to the dock. My line kept getting snagged
