Beautiful, clean campground along the river with level, nicely spaced campsites and some walking trails. Every campsite had a sturdy picnic table, grill and small utility table. Next time we stay we'll try to get a site along the river where they have a little deck overlooking the water.

This was a truly amazing experience. The park was very neat and well maintained. Our host, Dwight, came right over to our site as we pulled up an blew away the leaves before we parked the trailer. He was was working at another site and went out of his way to accommodate us. He was very helpful in telling where things were locally (laundromat, good eating places and attractions). Our site (#27) was really nice and we learned that it was one of Dwight's favorites. The cell service had a strong signal and we pulled in several channels from our trailer antenna. The restrooms and showers were neat & clean and in great condition. The park is well laid out, offering very private sites with concrete pads. each site had a picnic area with a sturdy table, BBQ grill, firepit and lantern post. We hope to return again.

For those that want to walk a trail but need level ground, Deerlick Creek has a paved very easy one mile (or less) trail that winds among the trees. Showers were very clean and had so much pressure. Our site was very clean with the leaves blown off too (hard to do when leaves are continually falling). Very quite, peaceful, with beautiful scenery. Sit on one of two docks and watch the water activities (barges, a fisherman here or there, or the sunrise/sunset). If you like geocaching, there are over 50 within a couple miles of the park, spaced about 500 feet apart. Visit Holt Dam, after geocaching. I understand that there is a waterfall nearby, but we will have to save that for next time. Very nice campground!!

Clean, quiet, and beautiful park. We were in lot 34 and the view of the river from the bluff was amazing.

Had a good stay at site 33. The site is a bit tricky to back into even with a shorter rig. One issue is that it is also a narrow site. Even parked right on the passenger side retaining wall there is very little camp side area since the steps are so close. If the weather is good not much of an issue but in rainy weather like we had being stuck under the awning we only had about 4 foot from camper to the edge. Overall the campground was great and will probably return and try another site.

The tent camping area is very good. The area was clean, level and private. There was a nice fire ring, a picnic table, water and electric on the tent site. The grounds for the area consisted of very fine crush gravel, making the ground very nice to camp on. It was also easy to drive stakes into the ground. The tent area is surrounded by trees overlooking the river. It was a very peaceful and relaxing environment.

A note to medium to large RVs: Select your site in either the Laurel Ridge or Tall Pines loop. The River Bluff loop has a hairpin turn to access sites 36 - 40. We have a 32' trailer and would not have been able to negotiate this turn. If you are in sites 23 - 33, you will need to turn your RV around in the small circle in front of sites 34 & 35. The circle was too small to turn around so we had to back into the hairpin turn to exit.
This is a very beautiful park and the sites themselves are lovely. The lights at the bathroom are bright. We like the dark so we were glad that we were further away at site #29.
