The park is nice and on a ridge above Holt Lake. The lake is not very accessible from the campground but does have a beach you can drive to. There is only one bath house for the entire campground.
We were in site 37 which was terraced like most sites. We had very little space from the RV to the steps leading down to a nice gravel area and deck with a picnic table. My only complaint is the River Bluff sites require you to turn around in one of two cul-de-sacs. The cul-de-sac before sites 33 and 34 is the larger of the two and using the road to the lower sites should not be too bad to turn around in. We were in site 37 which required us to use the lower cul-de-sac which is small. Thank goodness the campers in site 39 and 40 had left. We pulled into site 40 and then backed into site 39 and were able to get turned around. We were in a Chevy 3500 pulling a 28 foot RV.

We only stayed one night, but what a gem. We were moved to site 37 which was great but not easy to get out of with our F250 pulling our 24’ trailer. The turn around was tight. We did see a bald eagle fly by and the temps were great.

Our spot was a pull thru that was a little tight for a large motor coach. You need to make sure to do a walk down of the spot before pulling in to avoid getting to close to the water line like I did. Once situated the spot was very nice and the park was great.

This is, by far, one of the nicest parks that we have stayed at. The RV sites were as clean or cleaner than any campsite we have stayed at. Even the fire pit was shoveled out. The pull through RV sites were very level and you really don't even need to unhook if you are there for a short stay. We did not use the bath facilities so I cannot rate them.

One of our favorite places to camp. Had not been here for awhile because of Covid and my wife’s dementia. I thought it would be helpful for my wife to go camping again before her dementia worsens. It was a good idea but only lasted 2 nights (paid for 4 nights)as home is her comfort zone and she was confused and anxious. So we left early and as we were leaving driving through the gate house, the lady on duty ( I don’t know her name) said you are leaving early and I just nodded and she said I will give you credit for the other 2 nights. I was not expecting that and thanked her very much. I would like to commend the lady and Deerlick for being so complimentary. It wasn’t the money as we are lifetime senior pass holders but it was the thought and principal because they did not know the situation. Thank you very much.
