This was our first time camping at Deerlick Creek Park. The campsite was really nice and clean. We camped in Site 29. The docks near site 29 need a little updating and the floor boards are a safety hazard in some spots but it was a very lovely experience to watch the sunset from it. The trail to the next dock was less travelled but a short little hike. The bike trail was very fun. My 11 yr old son really enjoyed it but we both didn’t think it was wheelchair accessible. However, overall, very happy with our stay.

this is an outstanding, well-maintained campground. the sites are large and well spread out providing the privacy i enjoy when camping. the views of the river/lake are unparalleled. the sites are flat with good solid, level parking pads.
the staff was extremely kind, friendly, and helpful. ranger billie stopped by to great me and tell me about the place and the volunteer program. she, like all the rest of the staff, was warm and welcoming.
from what i saw, the bathroom and other facilities were clean and well-maintained. i stayed in site 40 which is pretty far and down a large hill from the bathroom but it wasn’t a problem since there is plenty of parking nearby
if you are camping in the tuscaloosa area, do yourself a favor and stay here. i would definitely stay here again.
