Beautiful place. Only complaint was the water pressure was low (38 psi) made it difficult to shower or wash dishes.

The campsite was beautiful and spacious. Haven't seen many campgrounds that do better than this one for the upkeep of sites and providing ample room to relax without being right next to your neighbors.
HOWEVER, here are several things to be aware of before coming:
There are no nearby support services to this campground. Gas, firewood, ice, food, beverages, restaurants, etc.. are all about 20 minutes drive away (each way) near Tuscaloosa. They ask campers not to bring in wood from outside of the area, yet they do not provide firewood for sale at the campground. Driving to Tuscaloosa, finding wood at stores was scarce and a small bundle of wood went from $3.99 at a liquor store/ gas station up to $6.99 per bundle at Home Depot.
They did have some free split wood stacked on a remote road to the nearby lake, which was great. However, that wood was wet and didn't burn well until we had a really hot fire.
Overall, the campground is a great place to stay, but I'd probably go somewhere else due to the lack of services nearby. Ice only lasts so long and if you are there for several days, you will need to make a 45 minute trip out just to have the basics.
If I were in charge of the campground, I'd make it a priority to open a small camp store to provide the bare necessities that most guests want/ need.
