Excellent campground, sites are large and you feel very isolated. We had an excellent stay, walking distance to the Salmon spawning stream, multiple hiking trails one is a little more rugged but brings you out at base of Glacial stream and breath taking views. Highly Recommended driving down the road to the Boat tour on the lake, there is nice gift shop and cafe in that area as well. Also on the road in are a few state stocked trout ponds if you want to catch some easy fish, The Park Ranger we met was very nice and knowledgeable and overall you will not be disappointed staying at this campground! This is a dry camp ground there are no hook-ups

Williwaw is a beautiful campground with view of glaciers. There are some nice trails and the walk along the Williwaw Creek is an easy walk. It would have been great if our stay was 2-3 weeks later in August so we can see the salmon runs. The campsites are concrete and flat. The camp hosts were very helpful when we wanted to moved to another site the next day.

We had a great fireplace where we could prepare our steaks and enjoyed life in nature. The next morning we took a bath in the nice - and pretty cold - river at the end of our site. What a nice place. We‘ll certainly visit Williwaw during our next stay in Alaska. Christian and Ursula

The Campsites were nicely wooded & moderately spaced from adjacent Campsites. The Campground Hosts were quite Helpful & happy to try to accommodate Requests. The 1st Morning there, I was in the 1st 'Caravan' through the Tunnel to Whittier to catch Hike the Portage Pass Trail & then take the '26 Glaciers Tour'.
