Eagle Glacier Cabin is open year-round for outdoor enthusiasts. This remote retreat is tucked into a peaceful lake setting that offers spectacular mountain views and its very own glacier. The site is accessed by hiking or snowshoeing or cross-country skiing 5.5 mi from the Amalga Trailhead off of Glacier Highway. Visitors are responsible for their own travel arrangements and safety, and must bring several of their own amenities.

The cabin was lovely, clean and warm. There is a very loud creak in the lower bunk. I don't know if it needs to be screwed tighter or what. There are some pots, pans and games left at the cabin. The trail is long and rough; very rooty and very wet with water rushing down the trail in several areas and slick plank in others. The lake and glacier views are beautiful. There is also a large waterfall past the cabin about .25 mi. Enjoy!

The location was really cool. Unfortunately it was raining really hard the whole trip. So a wood fire was hard to get going and the propane heater wasn’t working. But we made due and had fun.
