My family tent camped here. The train runs right through, blasting its horn, at 10:30p and 6a. Would have been great otherwise. My kids really liked the spawning salmon in the stream. Clean sites with smooth tent spots

Beautiful, quiet and rustic location. Great for a vacation, just a short drive from the hustle and hustle of Seward. This is my first experience with Alaska and it's been great. A small creek with SALMON, connected to a giant lake just a few hundred feet away from the campground. Honestly, it's pretty great!

Campground has dry and electric sites, the grass was cut, with clean porta-potties and tons of fire pits. Ill be returning!

Writing this review at 2:53 in the morning. This is also night 3 camping here. Finding out the hard way on night 1 at 2 in the morning about a train that goes right behind our camp site is less than ideal. When calling ahead to make a reservation, the host (friendly as she may be) didn't disclose that little piece of information. Camping should be a peaceful and enjoyable time, and yet, instead, I'm not getting rest, relaxation, or even any peace all because of a train that blows is horn every couple hours.... EVERY.... SINGLE.... NIGHT!!!! My kids aren't even happy about not getting much sleep because of the train.

Otherwise, the little shops that are in walking distance are great. The water wheel was great to see.

If it wasn't for that darn train rolling at all hours, day and night, this wouldn't be a bad spot for camping. But that's just not the case. The train is what's giving this bad review, plus not being informed about it.

My family and I love camping out at Moose Pass Campground. People in the reviews have complained about the train but WE LOVE IT!!! It is so fun to watch and hear the train roll by a few times a day. This campground is in such a lovely location. Yes, you are close to the road but that makes for a quick walk down to the BEAUTIFUL lake, playground, or the cute shops. The lake has a nice little beachy area to watch the float planes come and go. You still feel isolated and tucked away with beautiful mountain views. The campground is tight but it makes it fun if you have a group going! Everyone is close by! There is also a very pretty little creek that runs through the campground. One of our favorite spots to camp as a family! We make it a yearly family tradition.

We love Moose Pass campground, this our 4th summer camping over Memorial Day weekend. It's been a wonderful spot for our growing family. The creek running through the campground is a hit with the kids, along with watching the train come by every day. The lake, playground and the shops are all within walking or biking distance. Bring your bikes, kayaks and hiking shoes and have a great weekend. Thanks to the camp hosts we always have an amazing memorable trip. Five stars
