This cabin is impressively built! Lots of little woodworking touches--decorative hangers and steps on the bunks, complex and precise joinery on the shelves and countertop. For a wilderness cabin, this is a piece of art. Thanks to the FS and whoever put their heart into its construction.

Follow the Hope Highway from Seward Highway after arriving on the Kenai Peninsula. From the Resurrection Pass North Trailhead, at milepost 4 of Resurrection Creek Road, hike 11.5 miles to the cabin. From the Resurrection Pass South Trailhead, at milepost 53.2 on Sterling Highway, hike 27 miles to the cabin. Maps are available online or by calling the Seward Ranger District at 907-288-3178.
Winter travelers need to be able to evaluate avalanche and over-ice travel conditions. For more current travel conditions call the district office. The trail is closed to horse/pack stock from April 1 to June 30, and is open to over-snow motorized vehicles from Dec. 1 to April 30 every other winter season, beginning with the winter of 2007-2008. It is closed to motorized vehicles every other winter season beginning with the 2008-2009 winter season.
Access is available via the Hope Highway from the Seward Highway. The Sterling Highway connects to Resurrection Pass South Trailhead.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
Safety & rules
- Be aware of bear, water, and weather safety before making a reservation.
- Be aware of surroundings and prepare for extended stays due to poor weather.
- Pack out all garbage and food.
- Occupancy is limited to seven consecutive days within a 30-day period, and three days from May 15 to August 31.
Utilities
- Visitors must bring their own water or treat water from natural sources.

- Commercial operators are not allowed to use this cabin.
- Camping within 300 feet of the cabin is prohibited without a valid reservation.
- Do not tether any animals within 200 feet of trails, water sources, or developed sites.

- No more than eight individuals may occupy the cabin at a time.
