What Guests Are Saying

Guests enjoyed their stay at the Aialik Bay cabin, praising its stunning views of Holgate Glacier and the surrounding natural beauty. Some issues were noted, such as a lack of sleeping platforms and difficulty starting the propane heater, which could have been better communicated. Overall, the cabin's location and amenities provided a memorable experience, with no bear sightings and abundant berries nearby.

The cabin was very clean, an improvement on past experiences when food items had been left behind by previous campers. Black bear activity in the area was very high, but I am fine with that. Perhaps rangers can leave explicit instructions to campers that food is NOT to be left behind for this beary reason. I appreciate that someone had made arrangements to have three killer whales approach us shoulder to shoulder and swim directly under our kayaks. That made the trip extra special. One would have been plenty, though.

What an amazing place! The cabin is set back from the beach a bit but you still have an amazing view of the Aialik Glacier from the front porch. There is a heater, kitchen table and counter space to prepare meals.

Great low-key cabin. It's so nice to have somewhere to dry off in between trips! All the nature. All the views.

Roomy cabin with heat for drying wet gear in the rainforest/glacier environment. Nice luxury! Great quiet beach for kayak launching and good location for paddling to various sites. Needs smoke detector, CO2 detector, and 1 window repair. 6 Bunks are wide singles (3 up 3 down bunk beds). Nice view.

Cancellation policy

  • Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
  • Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
  • Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.

    • Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
    • One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
  • Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
  • Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
