Such a lovely spot with the cactuses. Loved having the covered oicnic table, as it rained a bit! Thank you National Parks!

Enormously handy method (and what an exceptional effort from the administrators) to book the campsite through the website. You get to book your own chosen spot thanks to a map that you see, where every single campsite is registered (like booking a ticket for a performance at a concert hall where you get to choose your seats). But instead of just guessing what the spot actually looks like, there are pictures of every single one of the 208 (!) sites, which makes you feel like you are actually there at the location to see what suits you the best. The pictures are clearly recently taken and give you the exact same impression of what it looks like in real life.
Apart from this amazing effort on the website, the campground itself is well taken care off and lies in a beautiful environment right in the center of the park. Each spot feels secluded because of the vegetation surrounding it and the fact that your car, which you can park right in front of your campsite, obstructs the view to your tent. Also, each spot has a huge bench and a private BBQ-grill, and the base for the tent is a little bit elevated and well-defined, with a good surface to set up the tent. From what I saw from a distance, the RV-spots are equally handy and taken care of.
It is highly recommended to book and stay there! We loved it!

The campground is very well kept and quite nice but set up a bit confusingly when you first arrive and are trying to look for a spot. Signage could be a little bit more helpful. Also the signs "do not occupy a site until you have paid!" Are not necessarily helpful and don't make any sense. The only way to pay is by recreation.gov as soon as you find a place that you want. So the best way to navigate is to drive around until you find a spot occupy it Hope you have a little cell phone signal and then book the spot. If you don't have any signal you have to drive back to the visitor center anyway. Overall great experience! good water filling station, convenient garbage cans and clean bathrooms. The area is noisy during the day because of constant traffic in and out of Mexico, but it does quiet down at night. Good star viewing and coyote music!

I was told by a park cop that I could not charge my electric motorcycle at the outlets, so I had to run the generator for hours and pollute the air to charge it up. Otherwise, I have enough solar that I never need to run my gas generator.
It would be helpful to many EV owners if the park could put in an EV charge station and charge people to use it, so there is no loss to the park.
Solar-run EV chargers are becoming increasingly common in some areas, and slow AC charging stations are not expensive to install. Even a single 240 VAC outlet would make many happy, and I am sure all EV owners would be glad to pay.
BTW, OPCNM is my favorite desert in the USA. Beautiful desert with many great hiking trails.

Due to the time of year there were only 4 other campers, so it was AWESOME. Good facilities, free showers, quiet and the stars were amazing.
