Very clean and well maintained campground, one the best we’ve seen. Plus hiking trails right out of the campground. Nice big pads, some with pergolas. Water is available, convenient garbage and can recycling. Very colorful, lush for the desert, nice visitors center.

Having all campsites reservation only doesn't work well (or even good) for everyone. Driving through the campground is so much better than trying to pick a spot on a map on a screen. The map on the screen doesn't mention that 1/2 the bathrooms are closed; if you thought you were reasonably close to the restroom, you could be in for a surprise.

It was simply wonderful. Camping among the cacti, the peace and seclusion.

It is a lovely campsite set in a fabulous National Monument. The rangers were friendly and helpful. I was scouting a mid-December backpacking trip and got all of the attention and help I needed (many parts of the backcountry are closed to camping). I'll be back.

Shoulder season visit to the park. First since 2019. Biggest change is the requirement to reserve versus, first come-first served when we last visited. At least there was reliable cell phone coverage so we were able to book one of the many open sites.
the hiking was good and the weather cooperated making for a great experience again. Highly recommended.

Just loved all the cacti. The Ajo Mountain loop trail was beautiful despite the dust. Thankful for the coyote choir every night.

Campground was very clean including the bathroom. Plus, the shower provided a substantial supply of hot water. The online reservation system worked smoothly.

Excellent Natural Park. Beautiful camp sites, nested in Saguaros, Organ Pipes, Choya Cacti, Mesquite trees and Creosote bushes, and other shorter sage looking plants. One of the trails starts off from the SE outer edge of the tent camping sites too.
Some sites have shelter structure, sturdy, covering the picnic table. 194 doesn't have shelter, but the one next door does,. There are external water valves, GHT type, near campsites in front my site, and at restrooms in RV non-generator and tenting sites.
The Water was hot, of course there was only 1 other camper my first night, and about 5-6 when I left. The solar heaters work for the showers, almost too good; with fewer guests and 100 degree full sun days, maybe hot water accumulated without having many showers. The water is great, taste good too.
All the water is hot right, even the outside faucets now Sep 29, 30., and Oct 1st.
There were only a few other campers during my stay, more started to show up on the 1st Area was flat for tent and comfortable, many stars to see, so many even the constellations were more difficult to pick out.
Excellent stay and worth the 100+ deg days in full sun, Hallelujah
