Love this park, it is quiet and dark. Loved the ranger program on QuitoBaquito on March 11th by Jared Orsi. It was very informative and interesting. We had been to this area before and thought it was interesting. We did a hike at Alamo Canyon to a ranch. It was a nice hike. We have done a couple of other areas to explore in the past. This is a park we would come to again.

The star party was such a cool experience. We were also surprised by the presence of a solar shower. The campsites were close together but still comfortable and felt private enough. I loved the trails right off of the campground.

Campground was not very crowded. Not sure why. Our site was great. Perfect spot. Visited the Vistors' Center several times, including attending a couple of Ranger talks. All very well done. The absolute BEST PART though, was the Star Program on Saturday, March 7. We were not aware of the program until we got there and learned of it from folks at the Visitors Center. We had actually modified our reservation, and moved it back a day (leaving on Sunday rather than Saturday. Sure glad we did). The program was so well planned. It was incredible. The setup, the attention to detail, having Dr. David Koerner play nocturnals by Chopin and Debussy and others, while gax=zing overhead at the stars was utterly profound. And then having a number of high quality telescopes set up for viewing after the concert was icing on the cake. It was a most spectacular event. And all the Rangers present were so helpful and knowledgeable. Kudos to Ranger Rosemary (I think that was the Astronomy Ranger) who headed this all. Wonderful .

The pads were concrete and pretty level and had plenty of room for my 20’ Basecamp. The sites were also immaculate! Well taken care of by the hosts. I also enjoyed ranger talks in the evening and a Star party with an astronomer!

This is our 2nd time visiting this monument. We enjoy all the ranger programs (one every night) and the special night sky events that occurred while we were here. We were here long enough to spend time hiking, biking, and a trip out to Quitobaquito. It has become one of our favorite places to come.

This is a well designed and well run campground. I camped in the tents-only area; it was not noisy, was close enough to restrooms (with solar showers!). Great night sky, and I happened to be there on the night of the Star Party in the amphitheater. Very impressed with the NPS Ranger staff - well informed and friendly.

Unexpected great stay. Saw the sign for the star party, and campsites were still available. Ended up staying four nights. Ranger talk every night at the amphitheater was educational and entertaining- there’s an astronomer in residence. Perimeter trail around the campground great for walking the dogs or just enjoying a nice stroll. Flush toilets available. Camp hosts were great, kept the campgrounds and bathrooms immaculate. Beautiful location, fabulous dark skies, quiet and peaceful. Visitors center nearby. Only 2 hours from Tucson or Phoenix, definitely worth the trip. There was light rain one day, the next day an incredible full half circle double rainbow.
