Loved this campground.
It was our first trip with our new trailer. We opted for an electric site in loop B. We were in B6 and it was perfect. The last one in the first row so when we walked out of our trailer we saw forest and not neighbors.
Very well kept site. The composting vault toilets where clean and didn’t stink at all. The host were pleasant.
We loved how close it was to Jerome. The drive there was beautiful.

First time at Potato Patch campground. My wife and I were very happy with our stay there. Great camp sites, clean sites and a great camp host. Already made plans to return in October.

Everything was great! Beautiful scenery, clean bathrooms and camp sites. The only downside was the lack of control of children. All hours of the night kids were hooting and hollering, using walkie talkies, coming onto my campsite to sell or buy firewood (over and over). This is nothing the campground can control, but parents be respectful of other guests and keep an eye on your kids.

Campground was very clean, vault toilets were spotless. Hosts were very helpful and drove around the camp every evening to make sure everyone was having a good experience. I've been in many campgrounds in my 73 years and I would rate this one as excellent and one of the best I have stayed at. We will be returning in a month.

We have stayed there many times and still have more reservations on the books. The campground is very quite and EXTREMELY CLEAN. The most important factor that elevates this site above other campgrounds we have stayed at are the campground hosts, Ken & Dodi. They are friendly and very dedicated to their job. Their biggest focus is to insure all of the guests have a great stay.

From Prescott, take U.S. Highway 89 north past Granite Dells, turn right on Hwy 89A and travel approximately 20 miles to the top of Mingus Mountain on steep, mountainous grade. Potato Patch Campground entrance will be to your left (across from the Summit Picnic Area) on Forest Road 106.
From the Verde Ranger Station in Camp Verde, travel approximately 20 miles northwest on Hwy 260 (toward Cottonwood). Turn left on Hwy 89A. Stay on Hwy 89A (watch for a second left turn), then follow the paved and winding mountain road through the town of Jerome and up to the summit on Mingus Mountain. This road is steep with tight hairpin turns and few pull-offs in Jerome or on the roadway. The turn-off to Potato Patch is on the right, across from the Summit Picnic Area.
