This is a great little campground, The couple that over see the area are extremely kind and help full, Other camper were friendly and respectful. The only issue we ran into was the closest place to get fire wood was over 20 minutes away. So you don't want to forget anything you might need if you don't want to have to do some extra driving.

To make our reservation was easy and without any hassle. When arriving at our site the camp host, Ken, had already posted a "Reserved" sign with the length of our stay. We have stayed at this site for a few years before the "Reservation" program was started and we really like the Potato Patch C.G. The camp host was very friendly, courteous and accommodating. Also, as always, this C.G. has very clean sites and bathrooms. It is really an excellent place to relax!

The two times I've camped at Potato Patch, the campground was tidy, fire pit has been cleaned out and it's has always been quiet and pleasant. The names of the hosts escape me at the moment, but they are welcoming, kind and great conversationalists!
Would highly recommend this campground!

Located in a quiet shady hollow among pine trees. Close to Jerome. No cell service! There has been no sign where to turn, but it is the road on the opposite side of 89A from Mingus Summit Rest Area. If you need cell service, and want great vistas, Mingus Mountain Campground is for you.

This is an excellent campground. Still close to Phoenix, and way cooler (temperature wise).
Campgrounds are spacious, and clean and well kept. Vaulted bathrooms are also well kept and clean.
We keep coming back. Well worth it!

The campground is consistently clean and generally quiet, especially when school is in session. There is occasional road noise from the adjacent state highway, little used at night. Generally busier at the start and end of season, outside of the monsoon, than at the height of summer. Some sites have better privacy and separation than others. Miles and miles of empty forest surround the campground and the skies are pitch dark at night.

The hookups are a blessing! We booked a regular spot with no electricity but when we got there we liked more the ones with hookups so we cancelled and rebooked in that moment!
We drove to Prescott and came back at night, beautiful views and nice stay.
The RVs neighbors were very nice and polite, the only thing that would do this the greatest experience is to have showers! then I would stay up to 2 weeks there!! Away from everything and close to everything at the same time :)
