Very large level spaces with fireplaces. No shade and, of course, no hook-ups, but some vault toilets and garbage containers. Very close - in walking distance - to the petroglyphs, and in easy driving distance to the Oatman Massaker Site, the Oatman Grave, and the graves of the 4 Fourr children. The latter two are on private agricultural property, and you need permission from the owner staff to drive through the area. High clearance 4-wheel drive with some rugged tires are needed. Don't try to get to the sites when it's wet. Next civilization (gas/food) is Gila Bend about 25-30 miles away.

Recreation.gov is a scam. $8 for the site and $8 convenience fees. Forcing us to use an app on phones with very poor reception rather than the old-fashioned envelope and check/cash method. Where is the convenience?? An envelope is much more convenient for us in remote locations than is struggling with poor reception on a cell network. Next time we just wont pay.

The place is great for star gazing! Quite and serene. I would like to see a large sign showing the turn off from Painted Rock Road. We have over shot it a few times and we know where we are going. For a new visitor might be caught off guard.
Over all a great weekend... Saw the SpaceX rocket launch, falling stars, 1 rattle snake and more stars than we have ever seen. Great Destination for a relaxing weekend.
