This is an excellent place to stop over for peace and quiet if you've been traveling the highway. It's a great place for a day visit for an hour or so. It is absolutely quiet and in December when I visited, I was one of a handful of campers. Very little in the way of services, but there is a good guided walk around the petroglyphs with explanations.

This is an excellent place to stop over for peace and quiet if you've been traveling the highway. It's a great place for a day visit for an hour or so. Campgrounds was very nice with level parking and spacious sites. The Petroglyphs were interesting also.

Amazing site! Incredible petroglyphs. Annoying that the online booking fee was DOUBLE my camping fee.

we visit a few times a year, it is quiet and the sites are nicely spread out. just keep in mind this is a dry campground.

No first come first serve sites were available. All were reserve on line and you better hope you have cell reception. I much prefer not using rec.gov for making a reservation, the old system worked much better. Rec.gov made more money on my reservation than the BLM did…..that just is not right. The map does not show where the bathrooms are either.
