Excellent campground. Lots of space!!! shade but the distance between sites feels private enough. Very clean and peaceful.

Nice quiet campground, with wonderful night skies. Badly in need of signage to the park, and also to the exit.

This campground had large sites, that were not on top of each other. The petroglyph site was nice and had a good amount of petroglyphs. Since we stayed overnight we were able to view the petroglyphs midday, sunset and at sunrise. Each time we discovered new things because of the way the light was hitting the rocks.

Peaceful, quiet place to get away, especially at night. Great stargazing. I was there too early in the year to see chuckwallas but the rocks are supposed to be crawling with them.
Campground is geared to RVs and trailers. Tent campers: it's totally do-able, but be aware you will be setting up in larger gravel. Reservable sites are clearly marked to differentiate from "first come first served." Clean sites, good spacing. I rode a standard motorcycle in. The monument road has a few dips and ruts here and there but go slow and you'll be fine.
Vault toilets were clean. Dumpster available. No water. You must bring your own - Gila Bend is like 25 miles away
No camp host when I was there in March 2023. Seems there are spots for 2.
