Tusayan - Montane

this was our first time staying at a campground and it was perfect! The campground was easy to navigate, and had great amenities such as a your own fire pit (with a grill), charcoal grill, and picnic table. Each spot also has ample room and privacy. The drive was very easy and direct into the Grand Canyon! Would definitely recommend!

The campground was awesome, easy to find our lot. The area was nice and clean. The restroom could have used a little more maintenance, but it wasn’t that bad. This campground is about 25 minutes away from the Grand Canyon, btw. Awesome place to camp with the family!

Quiet and clean. Elk were right in the campground.

Camped here for four days and it was great, very easy to social distance, just bring hand sanitizer for after using the bathrooms as there are no sinks! The ground is only 4 mi from the park entrance and it was so convenient when waking up early to beat the sun for hiking the canyon! I will definitely be back!

Great access to the South Rim. Big enough that you are not on top of your neighbors. In the pine forest, and easy access to the sunrise at the park.

We absolutely loved this campground. Nicely shaded and just a hop from Grand Canyon.

I’d recommend grabbing a spot with a little loop (check out the map first) — we were right in front of the dumpster, so we had a lot of people stopping in front of our campsite.

Unfortunately on our last night we got terribly unlucky with neighbors (car lights on until midnight pointed at us, and they were ripping off tree branches for their fire. Just total a-holes)

Excellent location! We drove right up to our campsite at 4pm and were on the trail by 5pm! It was incredible to drive just a few miles back to the campground after a 22 mi run in the canyon. Absolutely loved the location and looking forward to camping there again!

we stayed just one night. got to the site later in the day, their is no check in building or anything, just a simple circle to find your spot! the camp spot was super clean and nice size, as the only people close to us were across the road.

Spent 3 days here with my husband. Not of our first time camping here. The experience was amazing. The views around us were beautiful. We do plan on coming back very soon.

The campground is very nice and the sites are well spaced apart with large areas for a tent. We were in site 49 which was perfect for our large tent. The biggest complaint I have is the bathroom was really dirty...YUCK. The floor surrounding the toilet seat was always wet--as a woman, you really had to straddle if you know what I mean. We mostly camp with vault toilets and I don't mind them but this was just gross. Otherwise, it was a really nice campground and very close to the national park.
